Cleansing your face is the first step of your skincare routine. Cleansing your skin thoroughly is important as it cleans and washes away all the impurities, dirt, and grimes after a long day. It preps your skin before you go on and apply next skin care products. If your skin is not cleaned properly, it might cause skin problems like acne, whiteheads, and blackheads.
Find out what’s your skin type first before you get a facial cleanser. It’s important that you get a cleanser that is suitable for your skin as you’ll use it every day. And you might hurt your skin if you are not using the right facial cleanser. For instance, if you have sensitive skin but using an oil control cleanser, it might lead to skin irritation.

Since I use a facial cleansing device to clean my face, so I’m not overly particular when it comes to picking a face wash. I just need a face wash that clean my skin properly without causing irritations on my skin. Some cleanser is formulated with harsh chemicals, and it might strip off all your skin moisture and weaken your moisture barrier.
If you do not own a cleansing device, I highly suggested you be more particular with your face wash as this is one crucial step to get clear and healthy skin.
I never ever used a face wash that is formulated with beads in it. It is claimed that those tiny beads gently exfoliate and clean your skin effectively. However, don’t use any cleanser with beads every day. You can use it once or twice weekly, but not every day. It will do more harm than good to your skin.
Secondly, I do not like harsh chemical cleansers, especially very foamy cleanser. Sometimes, the ingredient such as SLS (a foaming agent that commonly found in shampoo and soap) is very harsh to use on our skin daily. It strips all the natural oils and moisture and irritates the skin in long term.
Last but not least, a cleanser should clean all your impurities without causing irritations. Any other effect such as brightening, moisturizing, anti-aging care is considered as a bonus to me. I personally don’t need those in my cleanser. I’d rather invest my money in other skin care products like serum or face cream.
My skin is quite sensitive and dry at the same time. Most of the face washes that are designed for sensitive skin are suitable for my skin. However, these two facial cleansers have become my personal favorite out of the cleansers that I’ve tried.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser is one of my favorite cleansers in the entire world. I finished two tubes of this cleanser. And that honestly means a lot cause I always like to try out different new products. It definitely means something if I finish the first one and ended buying another one.
Firstly, this creamy cleanser is very gentle to my skin. First Aid Beauty filtered out 1300 ingredients to exclude from their products including artificial colorants, parabens, ethanol, and mineral oil. With that being said, their products are safe for sensitive skin.
This cleanser has unique texture compared to other cleansers. It is creamy, but not foamy. It contains ingredients like glycerin, allantoin, and aloe that soothe and nourish your skin at the same time.
My skin feels clean without feeling tight after I wash my face. I always gently wipe my face with toner on a cotton pad to see if my face is properly cleansed whenever I try a new cleanser. The result is outstanding as my cotton pad is totally clean. No dirt, no grime, just pure white cotton.
Curel INTENSIVE MOISTURE CARE Foaming Wash -150ml.
Curel is a reputable Japanese brand that not only their skin care products are safe for sensitive skin but actually help to soothe sensitive skin.
This pH balanced cleanser is fragrance-free, alcohol-free and colorant-free. You can directly pump the foam out from the bottle and start washing. The luxurious, fluffy foams reduce direct rubbing yet still clean your face thoroughly.
My skin feels comfortable and refreshed after I washed my face. It contains ceramide that helps to restore and retain my skin’s moisture. Ceramide is found in our skin to help skin retain moisture and protect our skin from external aggressors. Your skin will become dry and easily irritated without ceramides.
My skin appeared to be healthy and moisturized with this cleanser. This cleanser is very affordable, especially it comes in 150ml and contains moisturizing ingredients like glycerin, maltitol, and PEG-150.
