Morning Skincare Routine
Let’s start with the morning skincare routine. We make this extremely simple in just two steps.
Cleansing
First of all, use a low pH level face cleanser to get rid of the dirt and grime on your skin in the morning. Our skin natural pH level is measuring around 4-5.5 which is slightly acidic in nature. In the past, most cleansers in the market consist of a high pH level that will make your skin feel squeaky clean every time you wash your face. With that being said, it also strips off your skin’s moisture and upset the pH balance of the skin. Using a low pH level cleanser is way more gentle for your skin and it won’t disrupt your skin moisture barrier.
After you clean your face, gently pat off the excess water and quickly follow up with your tinted moisturizer. It’s important that you apply your moisturizer asap after you pat dry your face because we skip using toner. There are two main reasons that you should use a toner. First of all, a toner restores your skin pH balance. Due to the harsh alkaline cleanser, our skin needs toners to quickly restore the skin’s balance. Secondly, toners give your skin a layer of protection and hydrate your skin so your products will penetrate better to your skin.
We are using a low pH level cleanser in this case, so our skin shouldn’t be too much off the scale. On the other hand, if your skin still feeling moist and you quickly seal all the moisture with your moisturizer, your skin will be protected while still feeling hydrated.
Moisturize
Get a moisturizer with SPF in it. So you don’t have to worry about leaving your skin unprotected in the sun. We think using a tinted moisturizer with SPF is perfect. You can conceal some pores, even out your complexion yet still keep your skin protected from the sun and environmental damages.
Night Skincare Routine
If you do wear makeup, use a makeup remover to remove your makeup completely before you wash your face. Check out this magical makeup remover that is perfect for lazy girls!
Follow up with a foaming cleanser. You can directly dispense some foam out from the bottle. Pair your cleansing device with these luxurious and rich foam and clean your face with minimal effort.
Lastly, pick a moisturizer that will provide hydration and nutrients throughout the night for your skin. Tatcha water cream deeply hydrates your skin without leaving your skin sticky or greasy. Apart from that, it also shrinks pores and even out your skin tone. You literally just wake up with smooth and moisturized skin.

Can I use a serum instead of a moisturizer?
There’s no doubt that serum is the most potent skin care products out there. Serums are infused with concentrated active ingredients that will improve your skin conditions. They have a lighter texture and smaller molecules, therefore they can penetrate deeply into your skin.
On the other hand, moisturizers have a thicker texture and are mostly emollients. Emollients are used to seal and create a protective layer on your skin. In short, moisturizers prevent moisture loss from the skin.
If you can only choose one of them, you should definitely go for moisturizer. Even though serums are powerful, you probably won’t get many benefits out of them if you don’t bind them in your skin with a moisturizer. Serums will leave your skin quickly without moisturizer. With that being said, it’s a waste of time and money to apply a serum without a moisturizer.
